Walking on Jewels

The voluminous clear sole, constructed from transparent spheres reminiscent of gemstones, naturally draws the gaze downward — directing attention to the feet of both the wearer and the observer.

Each sphere is engineered to move softly in response to the motion of the foot, creating a distinctive walking sensation and enhanced grip. By carefully controlling the flexibility of the material, the sole delivers optimal cushioning when worn — producing a buoyant, floating feeling that cannot be sensed simply by touching it with the hand.

The upper is based on our signature knit construction, detailed with ribbon-style shoelaces and embroidery reminiscent of animal foot bones. Boldly layered with fur over the top, the design introduces unexpected texture and dimensional contrast.

The heel measures approximately 5 cm across all sizes. While voluminous in form, the transparency of the sole reduces visual weight, giving the design a light and sculptural presence.

An artist based between Bangkok and Berlin, working across painting, installation, and digital media, developing works in series format. Moving fluidly between materials, the practice spans painting on acetate, blinds, and polycarbonate, as well as the production of ceramics and animated GIFs.

For this collaboration with grounds, three designs were created, inspired by creatures native to Thailand.
