A series in which the outsole is designed so symbolically that it appears to swallow the upper.
The image is that of a massive body moving lightly through water — like an orca swimming with unexpected grace.
A construction in which the outsole envelops a chunky, cushioned midsole brings the same sense of lightness found throughout the series to the foot.
The upper is simple neoprene. However, boldly, a handkerchief protrudes in all directions from between the midsole and outsole so that the entire upper can be wrapped around the foot. The shoe is completed when the foot is wrapped like a Japanese lunch box with a Japanese furoshiki cloth.
The handkerchief is made of thick cloth-like rags. The outsole is flocked.
Heel height is approx. 7 cm.
