Walking on Jewels
A thick clear sole composed of transparent spheres reminiscent of gemstones. Each sphere is engineered to move softly in response to the motion of the foot, delivering a distinctive walking sensation and reliable grip. By controlling the flexibility of the material to achieve optimal cushioning when worn, it produces a fluffy, floating feeling that cannot be sensed by touch alone. The very fact that it carries volume while remaining transparent subverts the heaviness typically associated with thick soles.
The upper is constructed as a knit sandal. Defined by a playful texture, multiple fluffy, brushed loop-knit elements are connected with slime-like, irregularly shaped parts, establishing the structure of the footwear itself.
